Here are the takeaways from Week 4’s games in which some games were postponed to Saturday (or October), one was cancelled, one was always scheduled on Saturday and some didn’t kick off until after 9 p.m. on Friday.

No. 1 Westview (4-0, 1-0) 69, Obion Co. (3-1, 0-1) 7

Takeaway: The Chargers continue to dominate and look like state championship contenders while the Rebels will work to move into better positioning for the playoffs as the region schedule continues.

No. 2 Huntingdon (4-0, 2-0) 62, Halls (2-2, 0-1) 30

Takeaway: The Mustangs can win big even in broad daylight.

No. 3 Munford 34 (3-0) , Woodford Co., Kent. 30

Takeaway: The Cougars had to work hard for it, but they’re still unbeaten.

No. 4 Lexington 48 (4-0, 2-0), North Side 34 (2-1, 1-1)

Takeaway: The Tigers continue to show they’re one of the top teams on this end of the state with another performance, this time pulling away early and holding the lead the rest of the way.

No. 5 Haywood (3-1, 2-0) 64, Lakeland Prep 50

Takeaway: The Tomcats might’ve already overcome their biggest test in Region 8-4A play.

No. 6 Crockett Co. (3-1, 1-1) 40, Dyer Co. (2-2, 0-2) 7

Takeaway: The Choctaws have hit a rough patch in region play, while the Cavaliers bounced back nicely from last week’s loss.

Chattanooga Prep 28, No. 7 Milan (2-2) 14

Takeaway: The Bulldogs made a few costly mistakes that hurt them against an athletic team.

No. 8 Covington (3-1) 26, Brighton (2-2) 7

Takeaway: The Chargers established the run game early and used it to pull away from their neighbors.

No. 9 JCS (4-0) 32, St. George’s 28

Takeaway: This was a back-and-forth matchup the Eagles came out of having been tested well.

Hardin Co. (3-1, 2-0) 22, No. 10 Chester Co (3-1, 1-1) 21

Takeaway: And just like that, the team that finished last in Region 7-4A is one of the remaining undefeated teams in league play.

Adamsville (3-1, 1-0) 31, Riverside (2-2, 0-1) 28

Takeaway: This game could’ve been the Region 5-2A championship game, and if it was, they both looked like teams that will host a first-round playoff game.

Camden (1-3, 1-0) 14, Waverly 8

Takeaway: The Lions picked the right time to start winning.

Dresden (2-2, 2-0) 21, Gleason 0 (0-4, 0-1)

Takeaway: Once Dresden got into Region 7-1A play, they began looking like the Dresden we’ve come to traditionally know.

Dyersburg (2-2, 1-0) 58, McNairy (3-1, 0-1) 34

Takeaway: The bad news for McNairy is they took their first loss. The good news is they competed with the Trojans better than most might’ve expected. Dyersburg has been back to winning for two weeks now.

Bruceton (3-1) 37, West Carroll (0-4) 12

Takeaway: The “small school” rivalry of Carroll County still belongs to the Tigers.

Humboldt (4-0) 7, Middleton (0-4) 0

Takeaway: This game ended in the first quarter when the teams mutually decided to end it instead of waiting for weather to move through the area.

JCM (3-1, 1-0) 37, Peabody (2-2, 1-1) 7

Takeaway: There’s still a lot of football remaining to be played, but this game could be a big factor in them making the playoffs or a step to doing more.

Liberty (4-0) 46, Gibson Co. (1-3) 12

Takeaway: The Crusaders continue to dominate inferior teams on its schedule and will look for its first win over a fellow Jackson-Madison County Schools team in nearly 10 years.

McKenzie (2-2) 56, Perry Co. 0

Takeaway: The Rebels showed they appear to be a team that will dominate in Class 1A again this year once they got back to playing 1A teams.

South Fulton (2-1, 1-1) 22, Greenfield (2-2, 0-1) 18

Takeaway: In a key matchup between Region 7-1A championship contenders, the Red Devils hung on for an important victory.

South Gibson (1-3, 1-1) 40, South Side (0-4, 0-2) 0

Takeaway: It took the Hornets about 2.5 quarters to show dominance on the young Hawks, but they did eventually do it.

Union City 37 (1-3), Crittendon Co., Kent. 0

Takeaway: The Tornadoes got the monkey of the first win off their backs.

USJ (3-1, 2-0) 28, Fayette Aca. (2-2, 1-1)

Takeaway: It took a while for these teams to get on the field, but once they did, they competed well before the Bruins pulled away.

Loretto 34, Scotts Hill (0-4, 0-1) 10

Takeaway: The Lions couldn’t get their first win in their first region game.

Bolivar (1-3, 1-0) 40, Ripley (1-3, 0-1) 6

Takeaway: Bolivar gets its first win after having had to wait an extra day to do it.

Henry Co. (2-2, 1-0) 21, Dickson Co. 7

Takeaway: The Patriots schedule tough in non-region play, but it pays off in Region 7-5A when they get wins like this.

POSTPONED: Millington at Fayette-Ware (1-2) to Oct. 16
