A couple of ranked teams (Covington and North Side) from last week took losses, and that created the possibility for some shakeup at the bottom of the top 10 list this week.

There was a bit of a minor shakeup near the top as Munford and Lexington switched places with the Cougars taking over the third spot.

McKenzie jumped three spots to No. 5, and Milan and Adamsville, who weren’t ranked last week, came in at Nos. 7 and 8.

That leaves Haywood at No. 9 and dropped Humboldt - the first team in rural West Tennessee to clinch a region championship - to No. 10.

1 Westview (8-0): The Chargers have their two biggest games of the regular season coming up. Last week’s ranking: 1. This week’s result: Bye week. Next week: Vs. Dyersburg.

8 Adamsville (7-1): The Cardinals continue to consistently do what’s needed to dominate the competition. Last week’s ranking: Receiving votes. This week’s result: Beat Loretto 56-13. Next week: Vs. Scotts Hill.
